A network for environmental protection

Both in the packaging sector, and in operations for deposit clearing and collecting/recycling used electrical and electronic equipment under the new German legislation (ElektroG), Duales System Deutschland GmbH is in free competition with other service providers, and for achieving its corporate goals cooperates with a multiplicity of partners, combining to form a purposefully can-do network.

For the satisfactory performance of our services, we cooperate not only with our customers, with whom we maintain solution-driven, mutually supportive relationships, but also with disposal and logistics companies, and with the local councils. These latter we see as indispensable partners for the future, when it comes to implementing new technologies, for example. Some of them also cooperate directly with DSD GmbH as waste management partners.

In its core business of packaging disposal in conformity with § 6.3 of the German Packaging Ordinance, DSD GmbH’s services are financed through fee payments from the licensees – fillers, importers, packaging manufacturers or retailers – for the right to use the Green Dot.
