Almost a third of all plastics produced in Germany are used in short-lived packaging products. This means that these plastics are often available to the secondary raw material market only a few weeks or months after being originally manufactured, as production or as post-consumer waste.
Der Grüne Punkt and its subsidiary Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kreislaufwirtschaft und Rohstoffe mbH (DKR) arrange for these plastics to be recovered as grinding stock, agglomerates and regranulates, plus semi-finished products like profiles and sheets. The recyclates are used inside the industry for producing films, pipes, automotive parts and packages, etc.
Our recyclates are produced in consistently high quality and accordingly replace new goods, which saves substantial amounts of material costs. Our quality assurance procedures guarantee high-quality, reproducible characteristics from waste to the semi-finished product.
DKR can draw upon long years of experience in processing plastic waste and enjoys access to a broad spectrum of different materials and processing methods. We market both grinding stock and agglomerates or granulates.
