Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kreislaufwirtschaft und Rohstoffe mbH (DKR) will in future be delivering secondary raw materials directly to customers in the People’s Republic of China without any intermediaries. For this purpose, the Chinese General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) has granted DKR an export license for scrap, plastics and wastepaper. This kind of license is granted only to vendors who guarantee and can document an exceptionally high quality for their products.

Part of the secondary raw materials is also obtained from the dual system of DKR’s parent company, Der Grüne Punkt – Duales System Deutschland GmbH (DSD). The recovery revenues from raw materials trading with used sales packaging benefit DSD’s cost structure and thus also the prices that DSD’s customers pay. “This means the AQSIQ license for DKR will additionally help to stabilize DSD’s own business”, emphasizes DSD’s CEO Stefan Schreiter. “The license is, moreover, yet another validation for the high quality of secondary raw materials with the Green Dot.”
