The sustainability officer and the quality management officer, who report directly to the management, coordinate the operational sustainability activities for all companies in the group. Ecological and social sustainability issues are presented, discussed and decisions made at regular meetings. Continuous sustainable development is a high priority and is practised at all levels. For example, sustainability issues are communicated to all employees via the quarterly internal briefing session ‘InfoPunkt’, and active input is sought to gather ideas.

But internal communication is not the only decisive factor: in order to adapt our strategy and our commitment to sustainability to demand, we seek intensive dialogue with stakeholders. For this reason, we will conduct a double materiality analysis (DMA) in 2025 so that we can take the needs of various interest groups even better into account in the future. The established principle of annual (licence customers) or biennial (recyclate customers) customer satisfaction surveys will be maintained. In this way, we are constantly working on our sustainability strategy and the values associated with it. This commitment applies to all business areas in order to act in an economically viable, ecologically compatible and socially responsible manner in the long term.

Compliance

For our group of companies, compliance is an indispensable element of sustainable economic, ecological and social action. This includes personal and business integrity and impeccable conduct in our dealings with employees, business partners, shareholders and the public.

For us, compliance means much more than simply adhering to applicable environmental standards and acting in accordance with the law; it is our aspiration to actively and sustainably help shape the relevant standards. Our compliance policy is based on the principles of the UN Global Compact and sets minimum standards for dealing with ethical and legal challenges in our daily work. It reflects our values and includes a comprehensive code of conduct that commits all employees to fair, respectful and trustworthy cooperation (see also under ‘Activities’). As part of our ongoing continuous improvement process, management, executives and employees work together to further develop these guidelines in the best possible way. In doing so, we attach great importance to the equal and fair treatment of employees, customers and business partners.

Communication of critical concerns

‘Speak Up!’ is our new internal whistleblower channel. Employees can use it to confidentially report any incident or behaviour that

  • violates applicable laws,
  • violates the corporate guidelines of the Der Grüne Punkt Group of companies, or
  • is otherwise considered conspicuous or unethical.

Reports can be submitted completely anonymously.
