Cologne, 2 June 2020. Der Grüne Punkt moved into its new headquarters on 1 June 2020. “The new building sets unprecedented standards in terms of sustainability, energy-efficiency and ergonomics,” emphasizes Michael Wiener, CEO of Der Grüne Punkt. “Der Grüne Punkt stands for the circular economy and sustainable solutional approaches. This mindset is reflected in our new office building, whose interior features we are having certified in accordance with the extensive criteria of the DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council) standard. In addition, our staff are benefiting from an intelligent, flexible room concept.”
The building offers not only space for the approx. 250 employees in Cologne, but in a conference area also sufficient space for events and forums – which will become possible again once the coronavirus crisis is over. In addition, there are communication zones for internal feedback and recreation areas.
Some of the fixtures and furniture, moreover, are made of the Systalen recycled plastic from Der Grüne Punkt. “We are demonstrating here in the building what new, exciting application categories there are for Systalen recycled plastic. The building thus becomes a showroom for new products,” to quote Michael Wiener.
