The catalogue of packaging subject to system participation was recently confirmed by the court of first instance. This emphasizes its importance as a binding instrument for determining the system participation obligation for packaging. The catalogue enables companies to efficiently determine whether their packaging must participate in a dual system. 

The Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister (Central Agency Packaging Register – ZSVR) publishes an updated version of this catalogue every year. Companies can use a targeted product search to determine whether their specific packaging is subject to system participation. 

The judicial confirmation of the catalogue strengthens legal certainty for companies and promotes compliance with legal requirements in the packaging sector. Companies are therefore in a better position to recognize their obligations and take appropriate measures to comply with the legal requirements.
