Cologne, Germany, February 4, 2021. Plastic recyclates from yellow bag waste are valuable materials, even for high-value applications. And in many cases it is prejudice and ignorance that prevent the plastics-using industry from using them. Der Grüne Punkt wants to take away the fear here and calls for more recyclates to be ventured. "Many users don't dare approach the subject," says Jörg Deppmeyer, managing director of Der Grüne Punkt. "We want to educate about what is possible and how to get a good product from recyclates as efficiently and safely as possible."

To this end, Der Grüne Punkt is offering an online conference on March 4, 2021. Proven experts in packaging recycling from the applying industry, in-house and research such as Dr. Joachim Christiani from the cyclos-HTP institute will explain which factors influence the quality of recyclates and how to optimize their use.

"There is no way around closing the loop when it comes to plastics. The use of recyclate is sustainable and a win-win situation for users, consumers and the environment," Jörg Deppmeyer is convinced. "Anyone who wants to learn first-hand what is possible with plastic from waste today should not miss this event." More info, program and registration can be found online. Participation is free of charge.
