In 2021, there were a lot of warnings with costs due to violations of the registration obligation according to the Packaging Act (VerpackG). And the pressure on online retailers will not let up in 2022.

The amended Packaging Act comes up with various additional obligations and deadlines in the new year. Regardless of whether knowledge needs to be refreshed or one needs to familiarize oneself with the subject matter – Der Grüne Punkt, as a partner of the German Federation of Online Trade (Bundesverband Onlinehandel, BVOH), makes members fit in terms of packaging legislation and packaging licensing so that goods can be packaged and shipped in compliance with the law.
