This year, Der Grüne Punkt is again offering companies the opportunity to showcase their commitment to environmental and climate protection with an individual environmental certificate.

The certificates are based on Der Grüne Punkt's environmental balance sheet, which is audited and certified annually by the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (ifeu) in accordance with the life cycle assessment method specified in ISO 14040/14044.

When submitting their 2025 annual financial statements, customers can conveniently order the environmental certificate from the customer portal for a fee. It documents the positive effect of recycling in four key impact categories:

• Reduction of greenhouse gases
• Reduction of phosphate and nitrogen compounds
• Primary energy savings

• Avoidance of sulfur dioxide equivalents (acidification)

   

This enables companies to credibly communicate their sustainable activities—on their website, on social media, or to business partners.
