Cologne, July 17, 2025. GreenDot strengthens its shareholding with the inclusion of Agilyx ASA (A2QD56) as a new shareholder, raising new funds to accelerate its development and keep on providing additional differentiating advanced recycling solutions to its customers.
Adding to a very robust 2025 year-to-date performance, GreenDot has signed a binding agreement with Agilyx to become a new shareholder and contribute, alongside current shareholders, to a new round of capital increase to accelerate GreenDot's growth. Both companies have been leading pioneers of the emerging advanced recycling feedstock market in their respective regions (Europe and the USA) where they have been dedicated to developing solutions for the circular economy of plastics for decades. By joining forces, GreenDot and Agilyx will take a clear global leading position. Several impactful commercial synergies are expected from this collaboration enabling GreenDot to provide new, much-needed solutions to its customers, including recycling of polystyrene-based packaging.
This new strategic move comes at a time when players of the plastic packaging value chain need confirmation on how the mandatory European recycled content targets defined by the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation can be met. It confirms trust in advanced recycling technologies, and feedstock preparation know-how coming to operation in several European countries to secure quality recyclates for contact-sensitive packaging. Currently, GreenDot manages more than 400,000 tonnes of plastic waste ready for recycling and the circular economy in Europe.
Laurent Auguste, GreenDot CEO, highlights:
“We very much welcome Agilyx as new shareholder of GreenDot. The investment of Agilyx and the business synergies that we will develop between two market leaders across the Atlantic will strengthen our ability to act as a preferred partner of brands and actors of the plastic packaging value chain. The new capital injection will support expansion of facilities in Germany, Austria and Italy and is additional evidence of GreenDot’s commitment to the scaling of the circular economy of plastics in Europe.”
Ranjeet Bhatia, Agilyx CEO, added:
“GreenDot has a long history of established leadership within the European waste circularity industry. There are great synergies between our companies, and we look forward to working closely with GreenDot´s accomplished management team and shareholder group, in a very exciting period of growth and expansion.”
