Cologne, March 18, 2026. With the integration of the French RG Group and its two mechanical recycling sites for LDPE in Tence and Saint-Pal-de-Mons, GreenDot continues its journey of extending high-end plastic recycling capacities into Europe. In conjunction with the recycling facilities in Hörstel and Eisfeld in Germany, and in Piacenza, Italy, GreenDot operates a total of five plastics mechanical recycling facilities across Europe. These facilities deliver quality recyclates to converters and brands.
This step marks GreenDot’s first operational presence in France and significantly enhances its expertise in post-commercial and industrial (C&I) PE film recycling. At a time when important local players in the LDPE recycling space are withdrawing from the market, GreenDot strengthens its commitment to enhancing high‑quality recycling of LDPE film suitable for use in packaging applications, and supports the shift towards a more circular plastics economy. This move will provide converters and brand owners with reliable sources of recycled plastic “Made in Europe”, supporting the EU’s strategic independence for critical materials and the necessary reduction of carbon footprint.

France’s eco-modulation framework has created strong incentives for brand owners to incorporate more “Made in Europe” recycled plastic into their packaging. GreenDot’s expanded activities, particularly in the “plastic valley” near Lyon, will foster regional closed-loop systems and help local industries meet their circularity objectives.
The RG Group currently processes more than 20 kta of LDPE film, with the potential to increase capacity beyond 35 kta. This development strengthens GreenDot position as a rising European leader in LDPE recycling of both post-household and post-commercial streams.
