Environmentally friendly packaging is not only characterized by the use of the respective materials and raw materials, but is also significantly influenced by the design and processing. Design4Recycling is the solution approach of Der Grüne Punkt to ensure maximum success in recycling already through sustainable packaging design. This means thinking about the recyclability of the material used as early as the manufacturing stage and ensuring that the design is suitable for recycling.

Packaging journal TV now talked about this with Jörg Deppmeyer, managing director at Der Grüne Punkt. "It depends very much on the input what can be produced from the packaging later on," says Deppmeyer. "Design4Recycling is the word of the hour." You can watch the entire interview at packaging journal TV (unfortunately only in German).

packaging journal TV conducted the interview in advance of the German Packaging Institute's German Packaging Congress, which was held entirely online this year. Also with the participation of many Green Dot experts, the congress addressed topics related to the sustainable design of packaging.
