Companies can now conclude all contracts for transport and commercial packaging as well as traditional license and trademark agreements in a single online ordering process for the first time.
Packaging can basically be divided into two groups: household packaging, which is generated by private end consumers and disposed of via the dual system, and transport and commercial packaging, which is used in retail or in companies and is not passed on to private households. Transport packaging includes, for example, outer packaging in wholesale or brick-and-mortar retail. Packaging that accumulates on construction sites or in industry is classified as commercial packaging.
Since July 1, 2022, this second group has been subject to mandatory registration in the LUCID packaging register, while the free return of transport and commercial packaging by retailers has been required for some time.
To make these requirements easier to manage, Der Grüne Punkt has now launched a new online service. Via the shop at verpackgo.com, companies can now not only conclude traditional license and trademark agreements, but also easily and securely conclude take-back agreements for transport packaging and commercial packaging in a single order process. This one-stop-shop offering is currently unique among dual systems.
The contract process takes just a few minutes. Once completed, customers receive their documents by email and access to the customer portal, where they can maintain their master data, download participation confirmations, and request pickups. Pickups are coordinated with the respective collection point on site to ensure that disposal runs smoothly.
