Once again this year, around twenty colleagues from various departments rolled up their sleeves for the Spring Clean-Up at the Cologne Airport Business Park. Denis Völler, Managing Director of Der Grüne Punkt, also joined in to support the initiative. The occasion was Global Recycling Day 2026 and the local campaign “Kölle putzmunter,” of which Der Grüne Punkt has been part of the organizing community for many years.

Together, the team collected a wide range of litter from around our office building—from plastic packaging and glass bottles to surprising finds such as:

• several hubcaps
• a large metal grate
• a vacuum cleaner

Every item that no longer ends up on sidewalks, green spaces, or parking strips makes a difference.

With these regular clean-ups, our employees visibly put our company motto “Love the Loop, Live the Loop” into action. The strong participation once again shows that a lived circular economy goes far beyond a slogan.
