Through our occupational health management programme (Betriebliches Gesundheitsmanagement, BGM), we continuously and systematically promote the health and well-being of our employees through preventive measures, health-promoting offers and the integration of health topics into our corporate processes. The BGM team at Der Grüne Punkt is composed of members from different departments and locations and meets four times a year to jointly develop and implement appropriate measures with a clear focus on:
» Health promotion - Prevention - Awareness - Feedback culture
Risk assessments are updated annually or adjusted in the event of incidents in the respective work area. For each department, they are prepared by the respective department heads in cooperation with the HSE manager. The assessments are then managed and approved in our central document storage system (QBD.net) and subsequently communicated to employees via Qualify.net for self-study. Risk assessments and incident analyses are also carried out via the online training portal secovaSAM. Appropriate measures are defined and their implementation is systematically documented. Risk assessment is carried out according to the Nohl principle, i.e. based on the probability of occurrence, the extent of damage and, if applicable, the frequency with which the activity is carried out.
Occupational health care is also guaranteed and is provided in accordance with the respective care group and the number of employees, based on the principle of prevention. It is divided into basic care and company-specific care.
Employee training on health and safety at work, as well as on many other topics such as data protection, compliance and ethical principles, environmental protection and safe driving of company cars, is set out in our training management policy document. Compulsory training covers specific topics such as fire safety, first aid and accident prevention.
Training courses in occupational health and safety are primarily designed to prevent accidents and injuries and to ensure compliance with legal requirements. These training courses are conducted digitally via secovaSAM and thereby directly documented. We provide training on mandatory topics at least once a year and additionally in the event of relevant incidents. Every manager has access to the training status of the employees in their area of responsibility and can assign additional training courses on an individual basis if necessary.
In addition to mandatory training courses, there are also process training courses. These focus on specific business processes and workflows within the company and are essential for all employees to be able to perform their tasks efficiently and effectively.

In order to obtain a sound database, we launched differentiated accident statistics for all companies in the Der Grüne Punkt Group in 2024. In the coming years, the goal will be to achieve improvements in all areas of these statistics. In particular, by recording near accidents, we expect a further reduction in first aid measures and accidents, as potential sources of accidents can be identified and eliminated at an early stage to protect employees.
